I am a mechanical engineer with passions for computer systems and alternative energy. After graduating from UT, I went to work for National Instruments in Embedded Systems R&D.
As an undergraduate, I designed an independent and redundant measurement system for the Webber Solar Lab which Joshua Rhodes established. My measurement system gathers the solar insolation data and makes it available for both live viewing and bulk historical download. This is the first solar insolation dataset that is publicly available for the Austin area.
My application is available at http://www.webberenergygroup.com/solar.
