Venkat Tirupati serves as the Vice President of DevOps and Grid Transformation at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). In this role, he leads efforts to develop and support the technology essential to advancing ERCOT’s mission and vision. Mr. Tirupati also directs technology innovation initiatives and manages strategic collaborations with external stakeholders, including vendors, academic institutions, research and development organizations, and industry consortiums.
Prior to joining ERCOT, Mr. Tirupati held key positions at the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution, where he gained extensive experience across various facets of the energy and utility sectors.
He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Tirupati is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas and a Senior Member of IEEE.
