Riley Robinson is a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. Working with Emily Beagle, she has been investigating the validity of solar and wind resource projections provided by Renewables Ninja and PyGreta as inputs into grid modeling software. She is now transitioning to assist Matthew Skiles with his graduate research which involves using ResStock to model residential electricity demand, with a particular interest in scenarios related to Winter Storm Uri. Prior to joining the group, Riley interned with Luminate LLC, assisting with solar and storage technical due diligence, and she looks forward to interning with BP in Chicago this summer. Riley is also involved in student organization such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Texas Wake Surfing.
