Hailey Clingan is a third-year Environmental Engineering student specializing in sustainable energy technologies. Working under the mentorship of Dr. Emily Beagle, she conducts Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) on geologic hydrogen and its applications in ammonia production and other hard-to-abate sectors. Her current work further investigates the viability of ammonia as a zero-carbon fuel source for the maritime industry, focusing on the technical pathways required to decarbonize global shipping.
Hailey is a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society and Longhorn Energy Club, bringing a comprehensive background to her engineering projects. She previously contributed to climate research at the TEXUS Lab, where she studied atmospheric CO2 interactions and carbon cycle dynamics. This experience informs her current focus on the intersection of carbon management and the development of alternative energy sources, as she works to identify scalable solutions for a carbon-neutral future.
