Marianne joined the Webber Energy Group as a Research Associate in spring 2011. She now coordinates special projects, such as the redesign of the Webber Energy Group logo and website. Her responsibilities also include editing, writing, and grant writing for the Group’s energy literacy media, including Energy at the Movies and Power Trip: The Story of Energy. Her work with the Group has been focused in the areas of energy literacy, energy in popular culture, the energy-water nexus, natural gas, and energy economics. Previously, Marianne worked for four years as a business and government relations consultant with Good Company Associates and then Mandell & Associates, serving clients in the energy, electricity, environmental, water, and engineering fields. During her time in Austin, she has also worked with the Clean Energy Incubator, Venti Energy, and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Marianne has her M.A. in Energy and Mineral Resources from the University of Texas at Austin, where her thesis explored the potential of solar and distributed generation in Texas, and her B.A. in Biological Structure and Design from Duke University.
